Friday was my Dad's 94th birthday. We celebrated with Mexican Food at Nancy's house. Alice made a perfect pineapple upside down cake with crushed pineapple-pineapple in every bite mm mm. I took my camera but it didn't have the card in it because I left it in the computer. So-no pictures! We better celebrate again next year!
The next night we ate at Smash Burger-so I have no pictures of my Dad 94th B-day but I have a picture of Smash Burger sides!

Sunday it snowed, today it snowed even more, but it's OK becauese tonight I get to go to Arizona for this:

FOOD! Baked Pears, Black eyed Susan's

I had some left over pears that were going to die so I made these:

BAKED PEARS

Peel and slice pears into ramekins, brush with melted butter, sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon,

bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes. They were delicious. I bought some more pears!

Here is the recipe for one of my favorite cookies:

BROWN EYED SUSAN"S Carol Cramer

Makes 3 ½ -4 doz. small cookies

1 Large box Junior mints (set aside)

Mix:

¾ cup butter

½ cup sugar

1 egg

1 tea. vanilla

¼ tea. salt

1 ¾ cup sifted flour

Shape into 1” balls. Flatten with a junior mint.

Bake at 400 ° for 8-10 min.

I thought they turned out pretty cute. I'd like to see her whole reception!

My friend Stacee and I made these on Wednesday, now that we've practiced a little we could do it pretty fast I think! The hardest part was forcing ourselves to choose beads without running to the store!

Feb. -March artsy stuff

Trying to draw a lot of faces quickly-doing it on scrap paper so I don't feel like they have to be perfect.

Homework for my Cathy Johnson water color class.

Painted this one with a children's water color set, couldn't get the light yellow-green, but hey -99 cents -right?

Look what fun I had making my own Chinese Chops (personal stamps) Well I 'm not going to Hong Kong anytime soon, and not paying $60 to order one either, so another 99cent project! Except Alice gave me the erasers for free! Just get an Exacto knife and hope your initials are as easy as mine!

National Indoor Track Meet March 2010

Gwen, Raquel, Tammy, Lacey, Raquel's baby Riley and me. We all piled in the car and went on a two day road trip to Boise, Idaho and back.

It shouldn't be this hard...or catching up end of Feb. first part of of March

To me blogging is like homework, I'm sitting here trying to decide whether I should catch up my blog or go swimming. I don't want to do either, I just want them both to be done! I put little Roxie's picture up- it took one minute-it wasn't homework, so maybe I need to blog more often with less content. I think the hard part is when I take too many pictures and have to sort through them. Well you will laugh when you see how little it will take to update and how I have been procrastinating over practically nothing!

My friend Stacee was born on Feb. 29th so every four years she has a real birthday party. This year it was line dancing. Stacee rides horses and was a barrel racer when she was a teenager. I should have taken pictures of her impressive belt buckle collection!
