Well actually the girly ones are from Piperlime. ($32.50 less than Nordstom's current price!)
Gotta love that too!

Las Vegas to CA April 2012

Last week-end Gary went to the Long Beach Grand Prix.
We started the week-end in Las Vegas with all-you- can-eat crab at the Rio.
Friday morning Gary left for CA. Tammy and I bought a washing machine. Then we couldn't figure out how to get these sweet couches home from DI so we left them there. After I decided I really did want them enough to find a way to pick them up Tammy went back for them, and they were gone.
 We did an art project.

On Saturday we went to UCLA to watch Lacey run. We drove through a snow storm to get to perfect shirt sleeves weather. We met up with Gary on the way back.

The best food in Moab...

...was at this taco truck...

So guess what we re-created for dinner last night?

Yum.

April 2-7, 2012

Monday I had my quilt group over for soup and salad, as soon as they left, I left for Logan to see Heather and help Alice clean out and organize her guest room. We ate eclairs all over town looking for the perfect ones to order for Laura's wedding reception dessert. We tried Macey's, surprisingly good, in fact the winner in taste. Kneaders, looked good , not good. and two other bakeries one of which we ordered from. Last week we had one at the Provo bakery, the clear winner in looks and taste, but cannot guarantee no cross contamination (Laura's allergies) Can you believe I have no pictures! I am not sick of eclairs and still want another one from Provo bakery and Logan Macey's!
No before and after pictures of the clean-up either but three trips to DI, some clothing sold at Plato's closet, books returned to Desert book, a load to the school, returns or gifts to three neighbors and Alice's trash and the neighbors trash full. We treated ourselves to dinner at the Firehouse and lunch at Saboros.
I brought Heather and Jake home with me and we loaded up and went to Moab for the Easter Jeep Safari. Gary and Cameron got the Bronco done just in time. I was pretty proud of them for finishing and with no time for test driving we had no problems in Moab!

Random stuff

A little amateur artwork-the first one I made while on hold with amazon, the second two I made during General conference, I decided to make something orange. Both times I could only use stuff on my desk (most of my art supplies are downstairs). I have to make up little rules like that or there are too many ideas to get any one thing done. The little cards are ATC's for a swap in my water color class, the lesson was on washes. Here are also some pictures of our family room with a picture (unfinished) hung a quilt finished and some curtains. We are making slow progress !

Making a live Spring wreath

Supplies:
Metal wreath form
sheet moss
soil
small plants
wrapped wire
 Suppplies
Arrange the moss under the wreath form (this is a plastic table cloth under it) place your plants, put soil in between your plants, wrap the moss up and around the plants, wire in place.
 Water, lay flat to drain.
Hang!
 One month later.
(You are not supposed to drop while watering it, you might lose a plant and have a hole in your wreath!)

March 28th Hunger games and Laura's shower

My friend Stacee Pitt and I went to the afternoon showing of Hunger Games. We loved it and thought they did a good job making the book into a movie. What we didn't know was how long it was! I came out to see that it was 3:45 and I had asked Laura to be at my house to leave for her wedding shower at 3:30. Luckily I had a text from her that said she fell asleep and would be late!
Kristi had us play a game where we put paper plates on top of our heads and tried to draw a picture of Neal as she described him to us.
Teena, Marcie and daughter, Dorothy, Kimberly, and Heather

Laura opened presents and we ate cookies.

March 19th Arizona

I spent a few days in AZ with Kyle, Ashleigh and baby Roxie. Ashleigh and I had a little outing everyday; first to the 7-11 where I got hooked on Coke Slurpee's! Hey I figure it's half the caffeine and sugar with all that air and ice right? Then to Target one day and then lunch at Liberty Square. We worked on a little craft project and had dinner at Smash burger right before I left. But mostly we held Roxie when she was awake and stared at her when she slept! She grew out of her 0-3 month clothes and into her 6 month clothes right before our eyes! It was a great time, just not long enough!
