July 4th

We started the festivities on the 2nd with a patriotic pedicure and the fireworks. Then after church on the 3rd Gary, Cameron, Heather, Jake, Alice, Laura and I all camped out on the street in Provo, so we would have front row seats for the parade. We got our spot at 3pm and started the party-barbequing, playing cards, playing made up games such as- pick your car as it drives by - and people watching. There were tons of people to watch. Bike groups, scooter  groups, motorcycle groups, ice cream trucks and cops entertained us on University avenue all night. A dance started across the stree at Muse Music at midnight. It was so hot we took turns going home to shower.  Heather joined the 5K race in the morning-the rest of us ate bagels and one doughnut (Jake). The parade was the least fun part! Afterwards we had the traditional KFC lunch at Grandma and Grandpa Cramer's house. Then we all went home for a big nap!

I went to visit Heather in Logan, while Jake studied all day every day for the DAT. We made two kinds of cookies and  two batches of chocolates. We ate out and talked and we water colored little. We planned to make an acrylic painting but were just too busy having other kinds of fun.
This is what a perfect fondant should look like.

We had dinner and played games at Alice's.
 Kyler and McKaylee

We went on a short hike to what they call first dam; the water is high in Logan this year.
You can usually see the bottoms of these trees.

Here is Gary's "I won at 5 crowns" happy dance.
A little too much like that celebrating in the end-zone thing!?
Here is me trying to make an XL shirt fit by pinning it up with a rosette at the waist.
That is what you get for $2.50 at a no try on tent sale!

June 15- Shop Hop

Gary's Mom, Cathy and Velda and I spent the day going to 7 quilt stores that had games and prizes and sales.
 I won all this stuff...
...and I bought all this stuff!
