Creme Brulee

Sunday's we usually have my niece's over for dinner. Laura's specialty is Creme brulee, so she made us each one and let us torch the tops ourselves. It was a  very successful activity!

I have fun friends!

My quilt-book-gardening group now does field trips; yes these are the same fun people I went to the state fair with and got on TV with the day we were checking out antiques and boutiques in Salt Lake City. Here we are at the Witches night out at Gardener village.

Love the spider web hat!

Yes, she's wearing rats.
Nice glasses.

We thought were were really decked out til we got there and found out that there are about 1000 other people who do not mess around when it comes to dressing up! Oh yeah and we lost our car. In the parking lot. We didn't realize they had opened 4 big parking lots in the field out back not just one. They made a killing on the $5 parking fee. But we found it and went to the Olive Garden for dinner. MMMM I wish I was there right now! I could use some pasta!

Cute pictures for the program cover. Gary took these standing on a ladder, he was really good with the kids, when we were finished Brother Wilkes told Gary he should go into photography (pretty sure he doesn't know what Gary does for a job)!

Kyle and Ashleigh's fall break October 2011

Kyle and Ashleigh came to Utah from Arizona on the night of Oct 8th. Anticipating their arrival, Heather and Jake came down from Logan on Friday the 7th and a wonderful time was had by all. Gordon's family came down this week-end too. Saturday morning we went to the BYU Homecoming Parade.

Lacey was the Grand Marshall.
Heather won root beer for being the best dancer.

Heather and I got lots of candy too because we are not afraid to have fun at a parade!

We played a lot of ping pong.

Sunday everyone came home form church and started cooking! Heather and Jake made Chocolate chip cookies.

Cameron and Kyle made muffins.

Carol and Heather
Then the whole fam came over for dinner.

Raquel, Ashleigh, Heather

Lacey, Tyler, Laura (Laura's friend Neal in the back)

We celebrated Ashleigh and Cathy's birthday with a lemon cake that had 13 ingredients-made by Heather-Delicious.

Raquel and Brady's daughter Rylee came too!
More ping pong (Kyle).

Mini-quilt retreat, Sept.29

Stacee invited us to her cabin near Tabiona, Utah.
She was afraid it wouldn't be good enough.
Are you kidding me!?

Three stories of fun!

These are my feet, and then Deb, these chairs were excellent, we were not good at sharing!

Blocks from Stacee's happy quilt.

It was a great fall overnighter , we each had our own room and the food is what I really should have taken some pictures of!                      Thanks Stacee-next year?
